Make sure the text on screen is continuous in areas (such as the timer). The player may not realize that they should be clicking. Take out the continue and make sure it runs automatically according to timer and audio
Angie: review text
Pam Scripts:
Need to insert: "Must be at least wash hands for 20 sec and dry on paper towel." during the handwashing section. (done)
Take out the control group. (done)
Explain why we have multiple subjects. (Is this for Angie or can someone on our group give a good explanation)
RICE COOKER: Mario style
Goals:
* User should know that the rice based on temperature (coincides with color) is either good or bad.
* Get as many pots of rice to the customer within a certain amount of time.
* We need a trash can at the top: user either deliver rice to customer or trash if it is bad.
* A key visual of what good numbers are.
We were thinking it would be fun to add customers who leave if not served promptly. This can be represented visually so as not to distract the player. If 3 tables fail to get served, you get fired and it is another way to lose the game. This would be a minor aspect to the game and not happen too quickly or often.
Description of game play at the beginning of the game.
Rules:
• Customer gets sick if they are served bad rice.
• 3 sick customers and the game ends
• 3 unserved tables and game ends
• 3 levels(for starters) that progressively get harder, more obstacles, less time to complete
• If you put good things in the trash you lose points.
• If you put bad food in the trash you gain points
• If you succeed give them some sort of kuddos.
Audio instructions: Through out.
Instructions screen - like the one from kitchen rollover
Win screen
Lose screen
Score board
Rice quality key - this is reference for players to get to know icons we use to show: good, getting bad, bad rice
To Do:
Greg is going to start work on a prototype. He will email us with an ETA when he has had some time to think about how this will be built. Matt will help Greg with any graphics, animation and audio.
For Angie:
We need key alerts in game that should come from Angie.
Such as Audio: the real danger in rice are toxins that form in the danger zone.
DISHWASHING:
Goal:
Keep the sink up to temperature
Reincorporate sanitizer's - there will be a button to use a test strip on the sink
• We need to make it clear about adding hot water.
• If we are teaching temperatures then have a read out on screen. Add in digital read out on thermometers.
• Strength of the test strip needs to be apparent - I will ensure kyle uses correct color changes
• Plates get faster with the higher level of challenge.
• Make sure plates are fully immersed.
• The pop-ups need to be audible.
• Dishes that are clean are in one pile. - into a drying rack
• Dirty dishes are in another pile or fly off.
digital readout for temperature - we need to consider a "limiter" so that players can't just keep hitting buttons and not lose.
